The Skyline GT-R R35 is intended to accomplish for Nissan in the 21st century what the R34 began in the previous century. Since the introduction of the formidable Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 in 1999, Nissan learned just how popular a car could be that retained a body design comparable with the majority of mass produced cars, yet included the credentials of a race car that allowed it to make other, more expensive, fast road cars appear lacking in outright performance.
